Your Empty Retail Space Can Make You Money This Year!

And today we’re gonna talk a little bit about opportunities that shopping center owners that have a vacancy can leverage and still make some income before the end of the year. That opportunity is popup stores. What do I mean by popup stores? The best example I give everybody is the Halloween Spirit stores.
They pop up in a shopping center in your area, right about October, the beginning of October, late September, and they’re selling those Halloween stuff and the customs and all the accessories. And then they vanish right after Halloween. Those are pop-up stores.
And the reason I give Halloween spirit as an example is because everybody have seen them and they took the pop-up concept into a mastery level. They do their leases so elegant and so quick and so efficiently.
That’s why you see them popping up everywhere right before Halloween. So if you are a shopping center owner and you have vacancy, reach out. We can help you get in touch with a few of those pop-up retailers and see if we can get you some opportunities before the year end so you can put some more income in your pocket.
It’s good cash flow. They come in, they take a look if your space is doable for them. They don’t ask for TI. They don’t do a lot of changes to the space. They make do with what you have, and they give you good income and they pay very well in order to just use your store for maybe a month or so.
So the thing is you have to do this right now. This is the end of May through the summer. This is when they finish all their leases because they can start doing the leases in September when they already need to get logistics lined up and ready to go. So now is the time for Spirit Halloween, but there are other pop-up stories that we can talk about.
And they can come in short period of times, get you some income before the end of the year while you’re still trying to lease that store to a more permanent tenant.
